How has 2021 been for you and which projects are you working on at the moment?

2021 is quite strange and confusing! The rules keep changing. I am grateful for being able to move about again (gradually!) and see friends, see art, eat out.

I am working on a shoot with Bex Day in Wales tomorrow, and then a shoot in Florence, Italy with Cass Bird later this week. Next week I’m off to Greece to do costumes for a feminist contemporary ballet.

Which opportunity were you given in your career that will always be important to you / is there anyone who acted as a mentor to you?

When Karl Lagerfeld picked me to style a Chanel campaign with him without us having even met. He was so kind and generous on set. I’ll never forget it.

Do you have any special memories of travel to Asia and favourite Asian owned businesses?

I love and miss Japan so much. Kyoto is one of my most favourite places in the whole world. In London I love Katsute100 in Camden Passage. My favourite matcha and matcha cakes!

Where are you hoping to travel to next?

The Bahamas to see family and the pink sand and sea.

What you are wearing and what made you choose this look from Huishan Zhang?
After having been at home and not going out for so much of 2020, a pink frothy gown is exactly what should happen next.
