ROSIE ARKELL PALMER
Tell us a little bit about what you do? Can you let us know what exciting projects you’re working on at the moment?
I am a fashion stylist working mainly as Fashion Editor at Harper's Bazaar and also as a red-carpet stylist for celebrity clients. I'm actually 8 months pregnant so my next exciting project will be for a particularly demanding (but cuddly) client and will involve a lot of onesies!
What draws you to a project? Can you tell me about a project you’re most proud of and why?
I think fashion should be fun and bring a smile to people’s faces so I’m mainly drawn to people and brands who embrace that. One of my favourite projects was a cover shoot I styled with the actress Maude Apatow for the Bazaar Women of the Year Awards. She was wearing these huge, Couture feathered gowns on an open-top bus around central London and running around Piccadilly Circus - we had so much fun, and the joy really jumps out of the pictures.
Where do you find inspiration?
I love the glamour of Old Hollywood films - the colours, fabrics and shapes were exquisite.
How do you approach getting dressed every day? Can you tell us a bit about your personal style?
I would describe my style as feminine with an edge. I love playing with colour and prints; clashing florals and stripes; floaty fabrics mixed with tailoring....and a comfortable pair of shoes because who has the energy for heels anymore?!
What are you wearing here and what made you gravitate towards this look from HUISHAN ZHANG?
I was instantly drawn to the feather cuffs and crystal embellishments of this beautiful gown…I’m a sucker for a bit of sparkle! It was also super comfortable and a very flattering style with my ever-growing bump. It was a real treat to feel this glamorous when my days are spent in maternity leggings at the moment!
