Founded in London in 2012, Huishan Zhang is a luxury womenswear house defined by the harmonious dialogue between Eastern heritage and Western refinement. Established by Chinese-born designer Huishan Zhang, the brand has become internationally recognised for its distinctive aesthetic, one that balances romance and modernity with precision tailoring, couture craftsmanship and enduring femininity.
Drawing deeply from his cultural identity, Huishan Zhang creates collections that merge the elegance of traditional Chinese influences with the sophistication of contemporary European fashion. Feminine detailing, architectural lines and refined embellishment are central to the house’s design language, resulting in pieces that feel timeless, intelligent and effortlessly modern.
Huishan studied at Central Saint Martins, graduating in 2010. During his studies, he was personally selected by Delphine Arnault to undertake a placement at Dior in Paris, where he worked across leather goods and the Haute Couture atelier. This formative experience helped shape his meticulous approach to craftsmanship, construction and luxury design.
Since its launch, the brand has evolved into a globally recognised fashion house presenting four collections annually and stocked by many of the world’s leading luxury retailers, including Selfridges, Harrods, Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus and Net-a-Porter.
The brand and its founder have received significant international recognition. Huishan Zhang was named to the BoF 500 in both 2014 and 2015 as one of the figures shaping the global fashion industry. He was awarded International Chinese Designer of the Year at the Elle China Style Awards in 2014, shortlisted for the LVMH Prize in 2015, awarded the BFC Fashion Trust in 2016 and nominated for the Vogue Fashion Fund in 2017.
Today, Huishan Zhang continues to define a modern vision of luxury womenswear, where heritage craftsmanship, contemporary elegance and global perspective converge.
